CHALLENGE
Boley is a global toy company and leading distributor headquartered in Hong Kong. They have partnered with retail giants such as Target and Wal-Mart and have been established in the wholesale scene since 1981. In 2016 our team was brought onboard to run all e-commerce operations and shape their B2C brand strategy. Our immediate challenge was to provide a consistent and engaging experience for customers by upgrading the generic product presentation and unifying the brand visuals and voice.
SOLUTION
Targeting millennial parents and baby boomers, we positioned Boley as a contemporary toy brand that offers high educational value at an unbeatable price point. We designed the brand to inspire through the bold use of a vibrant and bubbly visual language. We then applied the new guidelines to various touchpoints, including e-commerce, packaging, and email blasts. Within the first year, Boley’s annual Amazon sales revenue grew from $0 to $150K in 2016. With their ever-growing Amazon catalog and the introduction of their dotcom store, Boley’s 2020 YTD sales revenue has skyrocketed to $10M, and counting.
